Position Overview & Specifications
Location: Acton, West London — Excellent transport links, Acton Town station only 5 minutes’ walk and ample car parking onsite. Role: Teacher of Computing Start Date: 31st August 2023 Salary: Ark Main scale (Inner London)+TLR 2a £3,017 Closing date: 17th March 2023 Interviews: On a rolling basis – (We reserve the right to close the advert early on appointment of a suitable candidate, early application is advised) Contract: Full-time hours, permanent contract.

Due to our rapid improvement and our growing numbers of students on role, we are now looking for a Teacher of Computing to accommodate our large increase in student applications who want to move to our great school.
As a result of our obsessive focus on curriculum and our sensible model of teacher development we have seen our progress 8 score transform. Maths is extremely popular in the Academy and is now our most popular A level subject with 50% of our 6th form students study STEM – 47% of our 6th form students studying STEM are female and 22% of female students who leave us in Y13 go on to study STEM at University. We are looking for a Teacher of Computing to join our successful Maths department to deliver high quality Computing lessons Units of work will be a mix of theoretical knowledge – to ensure students comprehend the key requirements of the curriculum – as well as practical sessions (coding via Scratch, animations, etc.) that will allow students to demonstrate their learning.
We are a diverse and vibrant academy, having every language on the DfE census represented in the Academy and we are proud to be a true comprehensive school and we maintain this comprehensive intake right through into our 6th form.
