Position Overview & Specifications
You will be working with a team that includes nurses; therapists; social workers, reablement assistants; health care assistants; speech and language therapists, psychology services and a Senior Medicines Optimisation Technician.
We are looking to appoint an Administrator for 37.5 hours per week to support the existing administrative team. Applicants must have good administrative, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The information handled is often of a sensitive and emotive nature and the post requires characteristics of a calm and efficient team member. Please be aware as part of the interview process, there will be 3 tests for assessing IT software competencies (i.e. Word, Excel).
- To maintain up to date records on the patient system with regards to client’s referral and discharge process.
- Line Management of Administration staff.
- Development and maintenance of the relevant database systems for the recording and collating of the service activity to provide locally relevant information and regular reports to the Service Manager and other stakeholders within specified time frame.
- Generate data reports Weekly, monthly, quarterly or as necessary.
- Identify Data Quality Issues and work with Informatics to investigate and resolve
- Identify un-outcomed appointments and resolve to ensure accurate and timely data reporting for KPIs
- To develop, maintain and monitor medicines management and storage processes and provide audits as needed
- Booking and organising Care Home Training sessions including collation of feedback
- To answer the telephones and deal with referrals and queries for the service, directing all calls promptly and efficiently.
- To monitor and order stock of stationery, PPE, medicines and nursing supplies
- To take and transcribe minutes for teams meetings across Home 1st.
- To report building issues to Estates and Facilities in a timely manner.
- To cover colleagues absence as required.
- To contribute to the development of an effective Home 1st service.
- Any other delegated duties considered appropriate for this post.

The main role of the post holder is to provide efficient and high-quality administrative support across all of the teams within Home 1st at Whalley Drive and ED Hospital Front door.
