Hospitality Event Staff - All Ages

Chester Race Company are recruiting Event, Waiting on and Bar Staff for the 2023 race season and at many more events all year round! This role is exciting and varied, you’ll work events at Chester Racecourse, Bangor-on-Dee racecourse, as well as many other events such as weddings, private events, festivals, national televised awards and shows – all at prestigious venues across the region.

If successful, you will be supporting the Catering and Events teams in the smooth delivery of hospitality at events including race days and our non-race days. You will play a pivotal part in our award winning success through providing a world class level of customer service.

Duties of our Event, Waiting on and Bar Staff / Hospitality Team Members can include:

• Welcoming guests to our venues (Events, Hotels, Race days – you decide!)

• Working behind the bar (18+)

• Wine waiting?

• Providing a world class level of customer service

• Setting up for service and clearing down tables

• Serving food and drinks

• Taking customers orders and answering queries

The successful Event, Waiting on and Bar Staff / Hospitality Team Members will have the following skills:

• A passion for providing a high level of customer service

• Previous experience in hospitality is advantageous

• Enthusiasm and a willing to learn

• Full on the job training is provided

Our rates of pay.
Pay rates vary dependent on your age & training completed with us!
(All rates are inclusive of holiday pay - the below rates are in affect from 1st April 2023)

16-17 - £8.49, leading to £8.97 per hour with additional training

18+ - £12.22, leading to £13.45 per hour with additional training

Shift availability
Our shifts vary! You are in control of the hours you work via our staff app.
We offer work at Chester & Bangor-on-dee racecourses, as well as events across the region all year round.
