Position Overview & Specifications
Our client a professional equestrian company is looking to recruit an experienced Agricultural Administration Assistant
Throughout the year, they organise our own unaffiliated show jumping and dressage, alongside arena eventing which has a summer and winter series, as well as British Show jumping dates. The client has recently opened a new centre complex which houses the indoor area, café, function room space, 7 rental units, 23 stables and a club room, this adds to this our existing facilities, rental units and liveries.
Open 7 days a week, we pride ourselves on customer service and offering customers a range of facilities and competitions throughout the year.
Job Description
To assist with the day-to-day operations of the equestrian centre, you will be responsible for taking bookings, answering calls, serving customers face to face, handling emails, organising paperwork for the office, filing, scheduling competition times, creating competition schedules and general administration duties.
The working day is 8.30am – 5pm which will include alternate weekends and evenings when competitions and demonstrations are running
Responsibilities
- To carry out daily general administration duties, which include answering the phone and responding to emails
- Maintain a clean tidy, organised, secure office environment, in line with GDPR requirements
- Ensure the reception area and customer facing areas are orderly & ready to receive customers
- To take bookings for our different facilities and payments using our EPOS system
- Scheduling of competitions times with our in house system
- Creation of competition schedules for British Show jumping, British Dressage, along with our own unaffiliated competitions
- Distribute newsletters / bulk emails using salesforce
- Assist with social media
- To be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team with a flexible and creative approach
- Be unflappable
- To assist with maintaining and updating our policies and procedures
- To assist with invoicing using Xero
- To attend staff meetings as required
- To ensure a commitment to the businesses policies and procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
