Trainee Pizza Chef

Yard Sale Pizza serve award-winning neighbourhood pizza in London. We're hiring a talented trainee pizza chef who wants to develop their skills.

We’re a young but growing business currently with 10 sites, offering plenty of career progression for hard working individuals.

Duties:

• You'll be training in a fast-paced environment on how to stretch and bake pizza dough Neapolitan-style;
• Assisting in all areas of prep;
• Ensuring the kitchen service is running smoothly;
• Maintaining your own workstation;
• Adhering to exceptionally high standards;
• Achieve a Level 2 food safety & Hygiene certificate as part of training.

Requirements

• You must have willingness to learn how to make pizza from scratch;
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and health and safety;
• All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and speak English.

You'll be working with a fantastic team in a fun environment, and we believe in a brilliant work/life balance so you won't be working super-late. We're able to offer a permanent position and we want chefs to grow with us - there's lots of opportunities to progress to a Junior Chef role as we have really ambitious expansion plans and want chefs to grow with us.

The Location: Finsbury Park was the second string to our bow, opening in June 2016, serving our delicious pizzas to all the hungry North Londoners in N4, N5, N16 & N7, for dine-in, takeaway and delivery. Seating 28 people inside, with a bookable private area know as ‘The Den’ out back, Finsbury Park is the perfect pizza hangout. About Us: Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 10 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries- all on the quest for the perfect pie!

We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022.
