Position Overview & Specifications
Based in the Kent countryside and close to the Cathedral city of Canterbury, Junior King’s is one of the most prestigious prep schools in the country. The King’s School is based in Canterbury just three miles from Junior King’s. Within the heart of both schools lies a very unique, strong and special community. We recognise that every child has different strengths and talents, and we pride ourselves on nurturing and helping each pupil to reach their true potential.
Junior King’s and The King’s School are both rewarding schools to work in: there are strong links between the schools, and we are looking for a candidate who demonstrates ability and willingness to embrace the values and ethos in both. The successful candidate will be expected to play an active part in the broader extra-curricular life of our busy schools.
The King’s School and Junior King’s Canterbury are seeking to appoint a creative, prayerful and collaborative priest who is a gifted communicator to work with our Chaplaincy team at an exciting stage in the development of our mission. The Associate Chaplain will have responsibility for the spiritual and pastoral care of staff and students in the Junior School and will share in ministry across the King’s family. This is a full-time position, starting in September 2023 or January 2024, and accommodation is provided.
