We’re searching for a resourceful and enthusiastic Financial Crime Analyst, who will amongst other things, support the day-to-day operations of the First Line Financial Crime Operations function.

About the Team

We are a multi-disciplined team of experienced technology, banking, customer experience, marketing, and legal professionals who share a passion for the company’s mission and believe in a collaborative approach to creating the greatest social bank. We are building a diverse team of inquisitive people who want to understand customer needs and behaviour so we can develop innovative products that change people’s lives for good.

Here's what you will be doing:

  • Investigate transaction monitoring alerts to identify suspicious activity
  • Investigate sanction/PEP/adverse media alerts
  • Manage and work AML/CTF and fraud investigations from end to end, including Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
  • Proactively identify financial crime trends through data analysis
  • Liaise with other financial institutions and law enforcement authorities
  • Liaise with other business departments
  • Handle escalations from the Customer Service team and provide practical advice on required actions
  • Support the optimisation and update of existing processes, systems and procedures

Requirements

You’ll need to have:

  • 1 years' experience (minimum)
  • Experience in an Counter Financial Crime function
  • Transactional monitoring experience
  • The ability to manage a varied workload
  • Investigations experience
  • An analytical mindset and capable of identifying patterns in large datasets
  • Have experience in the financial services sector
  • A cooperative character and you enjoy working as part of a dynamic team

You’ll have an advantage if you:

  • Have worked in a start-up
  • Are familiar with Financial Crime and AML regulations

Office/remote working:

Working remotely has changed many of our lives for the better and we are behind continuing the benefits of flexibility. We have a beautiful office in Manchester, which, when used for the right things, can be a useful and powerful tool. Currently, we see a blended model of working 1-2 days a week in the office, so candidates that are able to travel in occasionally are the best fit for our current working practices. Please note: Our ambition is to be a truly 24/7 customer-focused bank. In order to achieve this, you'll be working shifts across 5 days (Monday - Sunday) and 37.5 hours per week.
