Job Description
- Extracting data from the database or other data sources, manipulating as needed for the required task
- Undertaking ad hoc statistical investigations as requested by the line manager
- Deriving module and course data and statistics, analysing and evaluating statistical trends and/or anomalies, advising stakeholders on appropriate intervention and/or relevant adjustments as necessary
- Manipulating data as required for regulatory reporting, including for returns to HESA and other regulators
- Providing high-quality management information to help ensure success in any Office for Students or other regulatory quality assessment
- Conducting the role to a high level of accomplishment, with functional and technical knowledge and skills, in particular, experience with manipulating data in Excel
- Paying attention to detail, being prepared to ask questions, and being inquisitive
The Successful Applicant
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
- Experienced in the use of pivot tables and Vlookup within Excel
- Extracting information from databases to transfer into new database
