Position Overview & Specifications
The ward is comprised of a 3 bedded Coronary Care Unit and is designed to enhance the smooth flow of patients requiring cardiac procedures such as angiograms and angioplasties. We also manage a variety of medical conditions too. The unit has a high turnover of patients and is supported by the Cardiology Medical Team and Cardiac rehab Nurses
You must have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to include Nurses, Doctors and Physiologists and have the have the ability to work under pressure and be interested in personal development of leadership skills. The unit is a fast-paced area with a team of dedicated nurses, doctors, physio's and occupational therapists.
You will be involved with working within an extensive multi-disciplinary team demonstrating excellent communication skills to all in order to ensure that our patient’s journey is a positive experience. You will be involved with auditing care standards and supporting change for our ward and team.
You should be able to demonstrate a desire for personal and professional development and will be supported by the practice development team in meeting their individual learning needs. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King’s Lynn is located near some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, along the north Norfolk coast, and not far from Sandringham House.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based healthcare services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers, approximately 530 beds, and a helipad for air ambulances. We work with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services, including as part of regional partnership and network models of care, such as the trauma network. Some specialist services and clinics are provided in community facilities, such as the North Cambridgeshire hospital in Wisbech.
