Position Overview & Specifications
You will deal with both print and electronic resources orders and incoming deliveries acquired by purchase and donation from all over the world for the Central Bodleian (Acquisitions Services), and for all other individual libraries with the Bodleian Libraries Groups.
You will have experience of working with structured and financial data and enjoy methodical precise work requiring high level of attention to detail. A flexible approach is necessary, as is the ability to work both independently and co-operatively with colleagues. Good written and spoken communication skills are essential as well as excellent numeracy skills for dealing with financial data.
This is a permanent, part-time position, working 15 hours per week. You will start in-post on 1 August 2023.
This role requires lifting and carrying boxes of library materials, pushing trolleys, climbing ladders and kick-stools in order to access some of the library’s bookshelves and to re-shelve materials.
