Position Overview & Specifications

Region NCE > Service Offshore NCE > Seagreen Green Shift

Reporting to the SOV Shift Manager, you will join our Service UK team in the North East of Scotland working in support of our offshore wind farms. Your role will involve working as part of a focused team, keeping our windfarms in production through proactive fault finding, efficient service activity and working to deliver a high standard of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

You will work a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, operating on of one of our Service Operations Vessel (SOV), in line with Vestas' quality, HSE, and operational procedures. Your typical tasks would be as follows:

  • Maintenance & service of electrical and mechanical systems offshore
  • Troubleshooting & fault diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Application of the Vestas safe system of work, managing safety
  • Inspection & upgrading activities, daily monitoring of operations, and remote fault finding via online systems
  • Working closely with customers in support of site activity
  • Collaborate with support functions and colleagues

Qualifications

  • Professional experience with electrical or mechanical systems, preferably having worked in the offshore industry
  • Electrical/Mechanical/Marine Engineering - NVQ L4 / HNC / HND / Degree / C&G technical
  • Good English skills both oral and in writing
  • Full driver's license
  • A willingness to travel to other sites when required, both internationally and within the UK, in support of business needs
